Edith C. Murphy
Edith Murphy represents homeowners associations in all aspects of their corporate operations, including governing document analysis, interpretation, revision and enforcement, elections, real property and title issues, special assessments, analyzing and drafting agreements with vendors, and representation of homeowners associations in member disputes. Prior to joining Hughes Gill Cochrane in 2013, Ms. Murphy was in-house counsel at two national title insurance companies, focusing on residential and commercial real estate transactions, including escrow claims, insurance coverage matters, prior liens and encumbrances on real property, foreclosure, boundary-line disputes, and underwriting.
Ms. Murphy received her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as Associate Editor of the Hasting's Women's Law Journal. Ms. Murphy received her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Santa Clara University.
Ms. Murphy has been an active member of the California State Bar since 2005.
