Matthew P. Harrington has been practicing law in Northern California for more than thirty years. His primary focus has been representing public entities in tort, inverse condemnation and civil rights litigation. In addition, Mr. Harrington has extensive experience in litigating construction defect claims on behalf of building contractors, subcontractors, individual property owners and homeowners' associations in the nine Bay Area counties. During Mr. Harrington's career he has successfully tried numerous cases to verdict before judges in Contra Costa, Marin, Alameda, San Francisco, Napa and Solano counties. In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Harrington also counsels businesses in general and corporate transactions, and individuals in estate planning, wills, trusts, estate administration, and the establishment of conservatorships and guardianships.

Educational History

Mr. Harrington received his Juris Doctor from the University of California Hastings College of Law in 1977, and Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from St. Mary's College of California.
