  • Has represented all parties in construction defect claims including developers, general contractors, design professionals and subcontractors
For the past twenty-five years, Gretchen has represented developers, general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and homeowner associations in all phases of construction defect claims and litigation. Her experience representing a variety of parties provides Gretchen with a unique perspective and insight into all aspects of this specialized niche. She has successfully litigated a variety of defect issues, including water intrusion, soil, high rise, material failure, roofing and mechanical systems, and fire-related matters.
Gretchen spent more than a decade representing developers, which gives her a “big picture” advantage in homeowners association defect claims. “I know all phases of construction defect litigation from all sides,” says Gretchen. She is particularly skilled at the investigative portion of the process. “I feel like I’m a private investigator. I love trying to find the document that shines light on whatever the issue is. Other people think that work is dry but, no! Because when I find it, I geek out for a moment and run down the hall – look, I found it! It’s totally geeky, but I really enjoy it.”
